This Friday, the French Gendarmerie helicopter pilots based at Limoges airport were training abord this new Eurocopter EC-135.The French government has singed a deal worth 233 million euros with Eurocopter for the purchase of 37 EC-135 helicopters.
The Eurocopter will be replacing the Aerospatiame Ecureuil which has served the Gendarmerie for many years.
The EC-135 has already been delivered to some departements and will continue to replace the older fleet, with the arrival expected in Limoges in early 2010.
